Open Source Analytics Conference

2 November 2021

OSA Con Code of Conduct

OSA Con is a community event for developers of analytic open source projects as well as applications built on them. We uphold community values of inclusiveness, sharing of knowledge, and a collaborative search for understanding. To that end, all participants of the conference including attendees, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers are required to agree with the following code of conduct.

All participants are expected to be kind and considerate of the experiences and thoughts of others. Present ideas in good faith and assume that others are doing the same. Share what you have learned honestly and truthfully. Respect new ideas. Don’t be snarky or dismissive.

Participants shall not engage in any harassment activities online, offline, social media, direct messaging, comments, or any other digital or non-digital media. Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, technology choices, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

Participants asked to stop any non-compliant behavior are expected to comply immediately. If a participant engages in such behavior, the conference organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the conference without refund or recompense.

Speakers at the conference must model professional behavior and content and may not use the conference for personal gain or promotions.

All speakers are independent volunteers and have no association with the conference. The conference organizers may not be held responsible for their presentations and content.
