Our organization got the Kubernetes bug in 2018 when we picked it for a cloud platform that now manages hundreds of analytic databases. Along the way, we learned a lot.

Did you know you can implement compute/storage separation with Amazon block storage? Or the NVMe SSD is not always the fastest or most flexible game in town?

Perhaps you would like to extend volumes without downtime? What about changing storage parameters in ways that CSI drivers don’t support? (Hint: we built a controller for that.)

Kubernetes storage features make it a portable and flexible foundation for data. This talk shares practical ways to exploit those features as you build your data platforms.
