About the Presenters

Joshua Lee – Open Source Developer Advocate at Altinity

Whether it’s operators or observability, agile or accessibility, his expertise shines because he is passionate about all of it. He’s been building software for more than a decade and he loves sharing experiences via public speaking. He is currently a Developer Advocate for Altinity where he helps create educational content about ClickHouse® and OpenTelemetry, and he is a contributor to the OpenTelemetry project.

Maciej Bak – Support Engineer at Altinity

Maciej is a passionate and self-driven engineer with a long-standing interest in programming and data. His journey began in primary school with Basic, evolving into high-level object-oriented languages like Delphi and Java.
In high school, he discovered his passion for databases while building websites in HTML, PHP, JS, and CSS. Since then, he explored the full spectrum of database technologies—from SQLite and MySQL to Firebird, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and now ClickHouse.
Today, he specialized in distributed systems, big data analytics, and cloud-native architectures, working with tools like Kubernetes, Kafka, and Apache Iceberg.
He is curious, empathetic, and always learning—committed to continuous growth and helping others solve complex technical challenges with clarity and precision.
