Altinity Novel Coronavirus Update

Mar 17, 2020

The COVID-19 outbreak has placed unprecedented stress on individuals and businesses worldwide. We would like to share a few words about how the Altinity team is dealing with this outbreak in the hope it may help your own planning.

First, Altinity is committed to the health of our employees, customers, and members of the ClickHouse community. We are following advisories from local health authorities as well as global authorities — the World Health Association (WHO) and the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC) — to guide our behavior.

Second, Altinity has a completely distributed work model, which means that our employees work from home offices. We do not need to make special arrangements to work remotely and plan to deliver service as usual. That said, the COVID-19 outbreak affects many communities. It is possible we may need to make adjustments to ensure our staff can properly care for their families and conform to local health measures. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience. We will provide timely updates to customers if changes are necessary.

Third, in accordance with recommendations by health authorities we have canceled all business-related travel and in-person meetings. Since our meetings are typically online, most customers should notice little difference. We have also deferred scheduling further ClickHouse meetups until there is clear guidance that it is safe to do so. We are working with our friends at Yandex and the ClickHouse community to enable online meetups instead.

We understand that the pandemic is creating difficulties for individual users as well as businesses. If there are ways we can help, please let us know. We’re online and fully available.

With sincere wishes for your health and well-being,

The Altinity Team
